If you have purchased an unlocked CDMA phone which was originally on the Sprint network and is noted as ‘unlocked for Verizon,’ and are experiencing troubles with activation, this article will provide you detailed instructions for activation.

First, let’s understand the purpose lifecycle and sales cycle of these phones. These phones were originally made for and distributed to customers on the Sprint network. They they are unlocked for use on Verizon and are NOT for activation on the Sprint network. We repeat, ARE NOT.

There are so many “battery” related myths—“training” the battery, ensuring you “fully disperse” the battery once a month, etc. Well, there are little truth to those myths – and todays batteries are fairly smart, most with smart chips built in to control their operation.

“Emergency Only” – Familar to many of you who have purchased unlocked phones before. As soon as you get the box, rip it open, gently ooh and awe at the package, then gently open it, with your jaw agape you see the phone inside, or quickly pull back the documenation on top to extend your agony of seeing your new phone.

You take it out, you pop in the battery (there is nearly always a charge) and what does it say after boot “Emergency Only.”

The T9 Dictionary comes with thousands of words, including proper names. If, however, T9 doesn’t understand the word being entered, it can be added to T9’s dictionary so that it will recognize the word the next time it is entered. T9 may also be able to automatically complete the word being entered to save even more entry time! Some items that can be added are smileys, chat phrases, slang, URLs, screen names, and passwords to the dictionary. Any term you can type, can be added to the T9 Dictionary in order to save time.
